| We purchased this horn from Jerome Callet in 2007. This is an Olds Ambassador made in 1955 that Callet modified with his famous, and somewhat secret, tweaks to the lead pipe and bracing. He also added an Olds Super bell. The valves are great and the overall condition is excellent. There is slight wear in the lacquer on the first valve casing and also on the end of the tuning slide. Otherwise, there are no other dents or dings. The horn plays with the focus and projection that Jerome is famous for. In the wrong hands, this horn could be considered a dangerous weapon! |

| We purchased this 1969 SK series horn about a year ago from the original owner. Apparently, he had played very little since the horn still looked new, inside and out. This horn originally came with two main tuning slides and both are included. Before having the original silver plate changed to the bead-blasted gold lacquer finish that you see in the picture, we had the first slide trigger removed and replaced the lead pipe with one recommended by Jerome Callet. Also, the lever-style water keys were changed to Amados. The original valves are still perfect and tight. Intonation is very good and the horn plays great. In our opinion, this horn is better than new. If you like Getzen Severinsen trumpets in general, we think you will love this one! |
