Overall, the Phaeton trumpet line has been designed to deliver centered, focused power, enhanced projection, and excellent intonation. The innovative valve cluster construction and heavy weight top/bottom cap design are truly new benchmarks that have “raised the bar”.
The Phaeton line of Bb and C trumpets are generally designed with the following specifications:
- Weight: 2.47 lbs. (1.12 Kg)
- Bore: 0.460” (11.68mm)
- Receiver/Leadpipe: Mid-weight receiver and leadpipe designed for optimum dynamic response
- Bell: One-piece, 4 7/8” (123.8mm) diameter with soldered bell wire ring
- Valves: Monel w/red brass piston ports to enhance sound color and buttons of heavy weight machined brass
- Bracing: Special gauge brass, gracefully flared and installed at all critical points
- Finish: Standard choices of black onyx, brushed brass, bright silver plate, matte silver plate, gold lacquer
Special Note: The FX model offers several special features including:
- Antique brushed brass finish
- Bright polished hex-shaped extra-heavy top/bottom caps
- Larger 5.04” (128mm) bell
- 0.464” (11.78mm) bore
- Fast taper leadpipe
- One-piece, weighted receiver
- Reversed tuning slides and leadpipe
- Three custom vertical bracing sets machined from stainless steel, bronze, and annealed brass for personalized setup
