| "I am sure you will be satisfied with Ken Barnes precision valve alignments. Ken is a fully trained professional engineer and a trumpet player. I have been very unhappy with the work of some valve alignment technicians as they have cut valve stems, done other machining, and changed factory specifications. Ken will guarantee his work to be first quality. I’m confident you will be satisfied with the value of Ken’s service and you can rest assured that he will complete all your work personally." |

His engineering background, coupled with his passion for playing trumpet, makes Ken an excellent resource for valve alignments and other services. Beyond being an engineer and trumpet player, Ken is also a perfectionist and is dedicated to making his client happy. I would recommend Ken’s services to anyone." |

| "I met Ken Barnes over fifteen years ago and have had the great pleasure to work gigs with him and spend time getting to know him. For those of you who don’t know him, Ken is a long-time Callet student who, for his day job, has been a Professional Engineer dealing in industrial automation and robotics. This scientific background, and his quest for perfection, sparked the interest in doing PVA’s (Precision Valve Alignments). Almost any trumpet can be improved with a simple valve alignment. Recently, Ken has done 2 of my horns, a Blessing Artist from Jerome Callet’s collection (prior to his design of the Sima trumpet), and a Holton MF horn, model ST304. After alignment, with each horn, the blow is improved and intonation is much better. Ken is meticulous in all his pursuits and I believe that his work will be more than satisfactory to anyone. " |
