| In the GARD “Travel Series”, our favorite bag is the Trumpet/Flugel Wheeled Pro model. In addition to trumpet/flugel, this bag can be configured to carry other two-horn combinations such as trumpet/trumpet, trumpet/picc, flugel/picc, or other horn/mute combinations. We see this to be one of the most versatile bags on the market. We decided to feature this bag because it’s large enough to carry some serious equipment but not so large that it’s problematic to carry. Continuing with the versatility theme, this bag can be carried as a backpack or rolled as a wheelie. While not as protective as the best hard-shell cases, we feel this bag offers surprisingly good protection due to the generous use of dense, impact-resistant, interior foam padding and moveable inserts. Also, it’s light and comfortable to wear as a backpack or pull as a wheelie. It’s just a great all-around choice. |
